Day 2

  • Write "my story"(this took me 4 hours or more and I understand it's just the first draft. It will evolve over time)
  • Layout a my space page on paper then publish (I used the MySpace template and everythig ended up being one column offset to the right.)

  4. myspace.com/iamallaboutabetteryou I like the plain white skin with black bold larger centered text paragraphs and the use of red subtitles to break p the text. I liked his "popup" because it was a video so not annoying like the spammy text only pop ups.
  5. myspace.com/dnique81 This skin was beatif photograph of a marine landscape, bright and sunny with the left and right colum elementdisplayed in transparent boxes in overlay fashion. Nice look. It totallymakes sense too f "free time" , "vacation", "travel" is the underlying business people are being funneled into by request (FLATCY)
  6. myspace.com/mentoringmillionaires This looks like the oiginal template from myspace. I imagine that mine will look very much like this until I move to the cleaner and brighter presentation of /iamallaboutabetteryou. So in this model all of the text is in the left hand column and any added videos, picutres etc is in the right. What is whack about this default template is that the left colum is narrower and the content ends up being an even narrower column of text. The page is not pleaseing to th eeye balance wise. So for this keping the text sections to under 50 words would be ideal. I wonder if html is allowed? I'll have to try that. Looks like age is a requirement and some people just put something ridiculous so that it's clear they'd rather publish their age.
  7. myspace.com/go123video Great idea here. He's got roprietary ebooks (pdf files) and mP3 products which he is pomoting wit a fixed overskin which is ransparent except for a 5 tier box with the titles of each produc that is always within view no mater where a person scrols on the page. Some of the producs are free, some are not. All capture email address and at least one caputres potentially at least 4 email addresses. Check out viralfriendgenerator.com. I've sen the same tool used by Dani Johnson. Also there seems to be an intntional amateurish look on everything. ou kow relating to the comon man. WEll, in fact I don't think it's p;retense. I think it's authentic becuase it's so across the board. Definitely I want a proprieary product to give away, in exchange for an email address..
